pplications are invited for the above post, based in the Center of Biomolecular Medicine and Pharmacology. At the Institute of Pharmacology, several independent research groups (headed by S. Boehm, M. Freissmuth, K. Hilber, C. Nanoff, H.H. Sitte, H. Todt and J. Zezula) focus on various aspects of cellular and molecular neuroscience, including voltage- and ligand-gated ion channels, G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs), neurotransmitter transporters, and presynaptic mechanisms. Depending on research experience and raised project funding, the postholder can either pursue own projects or will initially join the group of S. Boehm to work on the role of GPCRs and ion channels in the fine-tuning of transmitter release.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a PhD in any life science (preferably neuroscience or pharmacology) with some years of post-doctoral experience and should have experience in cell culture, biochemical, molecular biology, fluorescence microscopy and electrophysiological techniques. Candidates with experience in research project management and with available project funding will be preferred.
Further Details
The position is available for 4 years and the salary amounts to approximately 3.600 Euro pre-tax per month.
